Executive Director Sarah Welsh has been with NMFOG since August 2009. Prior to that, she was a reporter and assistant editor for the Rio Grande SUN in Espanola, where she filed hundreds of public-records requests and attended dozens of public meetings. Her other work experience includes non-profit communications, organic farming and two years of service as a Peace Corps volunteer in West Africa. Welsh is a Michigan native who holds degrees in biology and comparative literature from the University of Michigan.
